The City MOGULS Runway Show celebrated Toronto’s most innovative and newsworthy entrepreneurs and influencers in an unforgettable fashion show for charity. Showcasing the achievements of MOGULS in their community, City MOGULS provides a platform for like-minded individuals to give back and get involved in Canadian charities. The annual event attracted young professionals from all different industries including fashion, media, finance, marketing, art, business, health, beauty, journalism, and much more. Each year MOGULS are nominated by the public and selected by their producers, committee and advisory board, to strut their stuff on the runway rocking Canadian brands.
This year’s show raised money for Covenant House
As Canada’s largest agency serving at-risk, homeless and trafficked youth, Covenant House Toronto changes lives by providing the widest range of services and support to as many as 300 youth a day. A national leader, the organization educates and advocates for change by influencing public policy and delivering prevention and awareness programs.
More than a place to stay, Covenant House provides 24/7 crisis shelter and transitional housing on-site and in the community, along with comprehensive services including education, counseling, health care, employment assistance, job training and after-care. This year, the money raised from the 2019 City MOGULS Runway Show will support the health and wellness of the Covenant House’s youth by enhancing and improving services for its young people. More than 60% of the youth served have fled or have been forced out of homes where there is abuse and family conflict. Poor physical health, mental illness and substance use among its youth is a prevalent issue and a significant hurdle to overcome.
By supporting the MENTAL HEALTH of our youth, we can ensure a better future for our city.
